Hi Everyone! Here are the projects we did for January, with the theme being Valentine’s day coming up, although you can always just alter these for really any occasion. I hope you enjoy them!

I have to admit that I was inspired by Chat’s card but added my own touch to it and loved how it turned out by using the extra large circle punch and placing the main image in the inside. I used the scalloped heart of hearts and added the Hearts Collection Framelits die. I used the Neutrals pattern DSP and polka dot ribbon for the front and stamped the sentiment and cupid – how cute is he???

Paper: Whisper White, Pattern DSP, Real Red
Ink: Stazon black
Accessories: designer brad, polka dot ribbon (from the clearance rack this past summer)
Tools: Extra large circle punch, Big Shot, scalloped heart of hearts, Framelits Heart Collection

Our next project was our yearly refrigerator magnet calendar. I used the Mixed Bunch stamp set with the coordinating Blossom punch found on Pg. 17 of the Occasions Mini Catalog with Marina Mist paper and ink. Loved how it turned out! Unfortunately, I’ll still not know what day it is…. I have a wonderful friend, Kathy, who remembers to change the months for me cause I can’t remember myself!

This cute card is called a Double Dutch Fold Card that I got the instructions from off of splitcoast and you can find the instructions here. We tucked in a piece of chocolate at the bottom. I used our new Framelits Hearts Collection to cut out the stamped heart image from the “You Are Loved” stamp set out of the Holidays Mini Catalog that just ended – love that set! Then using our FABULOUS Pleated Satin Ribbon, just applied adhesive all around the border of the BACK side of the heart and then just went around the heart with the ribbon to give it a vintage “candy box” look. It looks great and so cute!

And, to end it all, we did a valentine for the kids with this adorable poem. I don’t remember where I saw this poem, but love it. Fill the bag with birdseed and print out the poem and just find some cute bird stamps and have your child stamp them. Just adhere it to some folded card stock you have around and staple it together – quick, easy, and cute! Here is the poem:

I gave a hundred valentines. A hundred did I say??
No, I gave a thousand valentines one cold February day.
They did not have my name on them or any other words,
because my special Valentines were seeds for our winter birds!
