Hi Everyone!  Happy Labor Day!  Here is the September Framed Art Insert which celebrates Autumn, World Heart Day, World Peace Day, Apple Day, Friendship Day, Back to School, and Sunflowers out in bloom now!  This features a mix of old and new and we used our new in-colors with our beautiful coordinating papers and ribbon and also the new Designer Ribbon Slides for everyone to try out. Here is the 8×10 size:

So now, here are some close-up shots.  For the fall tree, I used the tree from the Lovely As A Tree set and first used the thumping technique to add color to the tree before we stamped it on the paper, then using our Aqua Painter we added color to it.  Everyone’s trees were so different and beautiful using this technique.

For the apple, we punched out 8 hearts using our heart punch, then cut off the pointed end to give our “apple” a flat bottom.  We then sponged Lucky Limeade on the top part of each heart, going halfway down the sides, then sponged Raspberry Ripple on the bottom and halfway up the sides and did this on both sides.  Then folded the hearts in half and adhered them together to create the fanned out look.  For the stem, I used the leaf from the Bird Builder punch and punched it out in Gumball Green, colored the “stem” part chocolate chip and then just snipped off the very top leaf and the bottom leaf which created the stem and two leaves for our apple top.  Everyone enjoyed the apple square and it was a toss-up between the tree and the apple as to the favorite squares this month.
