I am just loving our monthly My Paper Pumpkin kits! I really like the fact that I have no clue what is coming my way every month – it is a total surprise. I thought I would share with you how I used April’s kit to give you an idea of what you could do too!
First – I SERIOUSLY love this stamp – SERIOUSLY! My first card here is pretty much how the instructions show, except I’m not really into the “guts” part that came with the stamp “love your guts”…. but I thought I could use the “love you(r)” part quite nicely, so here is my first card – I turned it into a get well card for a friend who is sick who literally uses the word “seriously” quite often in their conversations – it was perfect! Notice that I just inked up the “you” part of the stamp…
And here is the inside:
The next card, I changed things up and took our scalloped punch and made a rosette for the button and cut the designer paper into strips and made little banner flags. The cut-out little pieces from the banner flags I stuck behind the rosette. Our anniversary is coming up soon and so this is my “funny” anniversary card to my hubby of soon to be 39 years!
Here is the inside – it totally grossed out our kids which was very cool… hehehe….
I just put the two stamps together using the stamp-a-ma-jig to create my own words!
For the next card, I cut the front in half long ways and used that piece to make sort of a joy fold card:
Here is what the inside looks like:
Lastly, I thought I would make some little notes to tuck inside my hubby’s lunch to let him know I was thinking of him, so I cut one of the cards in half to create two little cards. I actually used the piece left over from the sticker for one of the cards below and just stamped inside it. I’m thinking of slipping one of these under his pillow the day I leave for Convention just to let him know I am thinking of him! I also count his t-shirts and then tuck a card in between day 2 and 3 so he finds it while I’m gone – he is my best friend (mostly, besides my sister!) – SERIOUSLY!
Here is the inside:
I hope you have enjoyed seeing how you can think outside the box if you want with April’s My Paper Pumpkin kit. I am so excited to have these great stamps to use. I can see me using this for other things coming up, seriously! Now I can’t wait to receive May’s kit!
Stampin’ Hugs!
