HOW CUTE IS THIS MINI-MUSLIN BAG!

Hi Everyone!  How cute is this mini muslin bag??

I have been playing around with our mini muslin bags (click here) and thought I would share my project with you and some helpful hints that I have found along the way.  This would make a very cute Thanksgiving gift bag at your Thanksgiving table!  If you would like to try one, here are some tips:

I found that using a well-inked black Stazon pad gave the very best image.  I tried our regular ink pads, but the color was very faint, along with black craft ink which was also very faint.  I found Stazon to give a really good color.

I also found that if you have a wooden block to tuck inside the bag and then stamp your image, it is a lot nicer and really stands out:

I also found that our fabuous Tombow glue really does a great job of making sure objects don’t fall off or become loose, but keep in mind that if you use a lot of the glue, it does absorb to the inside so you need to pull out the block and keep the inside pieces from sticking together for a few minutes until the glue dries.

I created the above bag using the following stamp sets:  Everything Eleanor, Summer Silhouettes, and Creative Elements.  I used Very Vintage Designer Buttons with a Pumpkin Pie circle behind it and attached a piece of white Baker’s Twine dyed Pumpkin Pie by just running it through the  ink pad with a sponge to dye it.  The ribbon is Crochet Trim.  I also took a black sharpie and colored some rhinestones and attached them to some of the stamped swirls.  For the pumpkin, I sponged 3 ovals from the Extra Large Oval punch, assembled them together and then stamped the swirled image in Pumpkin Pie from the stamp set Everything Eleanor.  I die cut the leaves using Autumn Accents Bigz die with Modern Medley DSP and attached some Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie leaves for the bottom.

I loved how vintage feeling this turned out.  Here are two bags that my stampers, Anne and Ellen, did using different buttons:

If you haven’t tried using these cute mini muslin bags – give them a try – I am totally addicted to them now and love how they turned out.  Here are all the pieces I used if you would like to give one a try – and you get EIGHT in a package for only $9.95!

I’d love to see what you come up with – but everyone really enjoyed putting these together!
