Hi Everyone! I used June’s fun-fun My Paper Pumpkin pinwheel kit and put it together with the Banner Kit to create a Fourth of July Banner! Here is how it turned out:
I loved the pinwheels in this kit but was looking for another way to use them, so I decided to make a banner from the pieces. Notice that I threaded my string through the straws which perfectly spaced everything. I used the 6×6 piece of designer paper for my base piece instead of using that to create a pinwheel. I used doilies for all three pieces, but for the middle one, I also die cut the 2nd largest circle from our circle framelit dies in real red to provide a contrast so the doilie would stand out better. For my letters, I used our red and silver glitter paper. The red, silver and blue banner pieces that the letters are attached to is the 2nd largest banner framelit die.
Here are some close-up views of each individual piece:
Colors used are Night of Navy, Real Red, and Red and Silver Glitter Paper.
You can recreate this cute banner yourself – and I am planning on having a class to make this because REFILL KITS are available – Yea! Love this June My Paper Pumpkin Kit! Contact me if you are interested in purchasing a refill kit – but hurry – supplies are limited and only while supplies last! Here’s one last view:
Hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July!

Gail, that is SO clever and I’m definitely going to CASE that! One question: Are you storing this so that you can use it again and if so, how? All 3-D projects are tricky that way and I hate to use them only once!
Good question Glenda! I will use this banner again for next year and so for my 3D projects with dimension to them, I order a pizza and then just ask them to deliver it with another empty pizza box – a medium or large box – for about 50-75 cents extra for the box, depending on the size – LOL! I then label it so at a glance I know what is in it but they stack easy and usually are the perfect size to store such a project for not much money – and you can decorate it if you want too! I hope this helps!
