I thought I would share two of the projects we did at this month’s class and I have a little tutorial for one of the cards.  Here is the first card we did (taken from Pinterest) – very simple and easy to do but really showcases our spider doilies from the Holiday Catalog.  So easy – punch out a circle in Tangelo Twist and adhere the doilie.  Stamp your spider – for the web line, I used a ruler and a sharpie for a straight line:

The second card was actually created by Wendy Cranford but I loved it the minute I saw it!  It uses the Boo to You Framelits Dies with the Sparkly Seasons stamp set (pumpkin face and stars on the hat) and Everything Eleanor:

Isn’t it cute?  If you would like to make it, here is a little tutorial:

First you use the 2-1/2 circle punch and punch out a circle to be used as your template.  Start with your card front, 4 x 5-1/4 and I placed it on a piece of black paper so I could see the margins of my card easier like this:

Here is the template:

Now place your template so the circle is down far enough so that your hat will fit but that it is centered in the middle, but down towards the lower part of your card – I just placed the hat there to make sure my circle was down far enough like this:

Next, using some post-it notes, place then along the exposed sides of your card front to protect it from the ink but also to hold your template in place like this:

Sponge Daffodil Delight in the middle of your circle:

Next, sponge some Pumpkin Pie around the edges but leave a little bit of yellow showing in the center:

Then go around the rim again with Tangelo Twist like this:

Now here is where the magic begins!  You need a small paint brush that has a flat tip like this:

Using the Tangelo Twist, brush some of the ink onto both sides of your paint brush:

Now you can start to draw your lines on your pumpkin going from the top to the bottom, slightly curving your lines freehand:

Continue drawing your lines until you get to the middle:

Now turn your pumpkin around to the opposite side:

Now continue to draw the lines on the other side of your pumpkin – this will help you keep your lines symmetric to the other side:

When you are done, this is what it will look like:

Now you can remove your post-it notes and here is your pumpkin:

Cool, huh??  The next step is to take that circle that you had punched out from your template and use it to cover your pumpkin like this:

Now ink up the swirl image from the Everything Eleanor set (I used black craft ink) and stamp your image on both sides of your pumpkin like this:

Now remove your circle mask and you are ready to stamp your cute face like this:

Now you are ready to punch out the hat from the dies and I stamped some of the stars on the hat in craft white:

I had some pumpkin pie thin ribbon in my stash but you could substitute some of our fabulous silver cording instead to the hat.  I also used some of our new metallic thread behind the ribbon and popped it onto the pumpkin with some dimensionals and then applied it to my basic black base card:

You can stamp a sentiment at the top if you like to complete this card.  This card makes me smile!
