I thought I would share with you the projects we made from the May Paper Pumpkin class. Here is the video on how this kit went together followed by our alternate projects:
Here is one alternate card we made using the design from the kit:
The next card we made was turning it into a birthday card by adding some balloons from our balloon punch and then adding Bakers Twine for the strings on the balloons:
The next card was one I saw on Pinterest that I loved just by adding some flowers from the Botanical Builder Framelits on Page 194 in the new catalog:
The last alternative project was using the envelope that came with the kit and creating a cookie holder/candy/gift card/lottery ticket holder – details below:
I took the flap section of the envelope and tucked it inside.
I pushed out the sides and pushed down on the inside of the envelope to create a box shape and then adhered the flaps on the bottom of the envelope to the undersurface of the envelope, thereby creating a little holder.
I added a belly band from Pumpkin Pie card stock that was 1 inch x 11 inches and then added an additional 1 x 4 piece to that and wrapped it around the envelope holder.
Then I took a 3/4″ x 11 strip of Night of Navy and added a 3/4″ x 4″ strip to that and ran it through my crimper and then attached that to the Pumpkin Pie strip and when I placed the “Happy” sticker to it, it just popped! I also created a little flag on a toothpick and stuck that in the belly band. Then just fill your envelope with a cookie, some candy, a gift card or lottery ticket and you are done!
Can’t wait to see what’s in store for June’s Paper Pumpkin Kit!
