July’s Framed Art insert turned out to be so much fun!  It’s a celebration of the 4th of July, Ice Cream Day, Lollipop Day, Don’t Step-On-A-Bee Day, Tour de France, and just summer!  The 4th of July frame used the Black Magic technique – so much fun – it actually looks like fireworks!  I had never used this technique, so it was a fun technique to try using our fabulous watercolor pencils.  I used another one of our wonderful digital images called Sweets for the Sweet and turned it into a 3-D image by punching out the circle pinwheel with a punch and popping it up on a dimensional.  Using My Digital Studio, I sized one of the “sticks” to fit a 2 x 2 inch square and then used one of the pinwheels to become a lollipop and sized the pinwheel to fit a 1 inch circle.  I then printed them out along with just the circle image which we then punched out with our 1 inch circle punch, added some Dazzling Diamonds, and then popped it up with a dimensional to create a 3-D look.  I then used our very small hand-held 1/16 punch and punched two small holes on either side of the “stick” and threaded up some silver thread and knotted it and tied it in a bow so it looked like it was a ribbon actually around the stick.   The canopy square turned out cute-cute and looks like a real canopy!  I hope you enjoy looking at July’s insert!

Hi everyone!  The insert for June celebrates Father’s Day, Go Fly A Kite Day, Fishing Day, Flag Day, Graduations, and just a celebration of our men.   This insert introduces the new in-colors, using Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit, Midnight Muse, along with Early Expresso, Marina Mist and Very Vanilla with our new designer paper and I just love those new buttons! I used another digital download and also used a very old Stampin’ Up! fishing stamp set that I just could not part with – do you have any of those??  I love how this one turned out – it has a feeling of action and movement with the fishing scene.

Here is the June insert everyone made:

Here is my personal family insert, celebrating both my husband’s B-day an our granddaughter Savannah’s 10th B-day – both in June!

Hi Everyone!  I wanted to share with you the insert we made for my Framed Art classes that I hold every month.  The concept is you leave the frame up, and put in a new insert each month!  So far, we have completed February, March, and now April.  I have also listed the recipe used to create this month’s insert at the end.

This is the insert in an 8 x 10 frame:

Now here is the insert in my 12 x 12 frame:

Here is a close-up of this square where I popped up the balloon and the head of the bunny with clouds that are sponged in – too cute!

Here is a close-up of the first square where I punched a circle in the Chocolate Chip square and then popped up the lily and pods through it.

Here is a close-up on the “He is Risen” square – so you have to “raise” up the lid to see what I put under it.. a little humor there….

Here is what is underneath the flap… I sponged Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral to create a sunrise scene and then stamped the cross from our fabulous Crosses of Hope set.

And just a few more pictures from some angles to show you all the popped up features on this fun insert:
